He's finally here...
We went in on Thursday night at 7:30 so I could be induced on Friday morning. I was induced at about 5:30am on Friday... and nothing happened. all day. I was having contractions that I couldn't feel and that's about it. I dilated to 2cm by the end of the day. So... the Dr. suggested I stay and try again on Saturday. Well, they induced me again around 5:30 on Saturday morning, and then at about 7:30, the Dr. broke my water. So we knew the baby was coming one way or another that day. Well, I was checked at about 3 and was only dilated to 3cm still... but the contractions hurt pretty bad by then. The nurse said that an epidural would help my muscles to relax, and probably help me to dilate. So I got one. After I got the epidural I dilated about 1cm an hour and by 11 I was pushing. Little Dean was born at 11:23pm Saturday night. It was exhausting!
He weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.
